Crane Wire Rope

Nuflex Fiber Core and Hemp Steel Core Crane Wire Rope;

  • 36 * 6 Nuflex Fiber Core. 36x7 = Oz-6 (1 + 6) +12 (1 + 6) x18 (1 + 6)
  • 36 * 6 Hemp Core Steel 36x6 WS = 6 * (1 + 7 + (7 + 7) +14
  • In EN 12385 standard

 The 6x36 classification of steel ropes includes 72 to 27 strands of standard 6 round wire ropes alone.

6x36 ropes are important for fatigue resistance. This fatigue resistance is made possible by a large number of small wires per wire.

Although there are exceptions for special applications, the constructions used in the 6x36 classification are primarily designed to be the most efficient in every rope diameter. As the rope size increases, for example, a large number of wires can be used to resist fatigue and yet these wires will be wide enough to provide sufficient abrasion resistance.

Standard 6 x 36 Grade Crane Steel rope specification

In most rope sizes, only one 6 x 36 sorting wire is made. These constructions are selected to provide fatigue resistance without the wires being too small.

As the number of wires increases in the 6 x 36 classification, these ropes become more susceptible to crushing. However, it can be minimized by specifying the Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) and using well-designed pulleys, grooved drums and appropriate operating techniques.
